“ Found this place while walking around with my friend. We were able to try their breakfast tacos (served all day) and they were delicious! The service was quick and friendly! The food was delicious at a reasonable priced! FYI, they are closed on Wednesdays. ”

“ Everything changes when your mobility changes. I fell on my way into a restaurant two months ago and fractured my hip. The irony, of course, is that eating out just isn't possible for awhile after that and then when it might be, you have to look really hard at safe access for every aspect from parking to bathrooms. I was excited to visit Tacos y Chelas for brunch after a doctor's appointment near there. I still was using a walker and parking on Bishop isn't the greatest, so we parked on a side street. After reading about their birria, I had high hopes for a birria taco plate; but they were out of birria and had been since the evening before. With no birria available until the afternoon; I opted for a flour taco trio and ordered Barbacoa, Pastor and Fajita. Flour tortillas are $1 extra with tacos then $4 a piece. My spouse ordered the Super Burrito with Fajita meat at $12.95. Service was helpful and friendly and she brought our order to the table after we ordered up front. My tacos were well filled with meat and both the onion and cilantro were served on the side with lime. It was all pretty generous and tasty and tender as well. My favorite was the the well seasoned fajita meat. The Super Burrito fillings of fajita, egg, potato, cheese, jalapeño, and salsa came wrapped in a very large flour tortilla. We were served a super picante salsa verde with our meal. Just delicious! They didn't seem busy and no one else entered for some time until one other customer came in to dine on site. Somebody else got something to go later as well. The place is small, clean and comfortable with tables and chairs and a small counter bar. I enjoyed it and I would love to come back; but next time I'll call to make sure they have birria. I'm more attuned to those with mobility and disability needs now, as well. Bishop Arts District is terrible for access. The sidewalks, curbs and gutters are old and steep. Doorways are narrow and streets rough. Parking, as everyone already knows, is ridiculous. It's unfortunate. There are a few places with improved access; but you must go on the hunt. I recommend newly added parking lots behind or near restaurants. ”

“ WHAAAAAATTTT!! I walked in and the cashier was hella friendly ... then my friends ordered bc we all wanted to try different items. TACOS DE BIRRIA WAS FIRE... la torta de res super soft on the fresh bun!!! And the chicken quesadilla is enough for two ppl also great. The chips and salsa are homemade and that salsa is amazing!!! Finally they had a really good michelada helped me get over my hangover some lol and they had free FROZEN MARGS!!! Highly recommend I live across the street and forsure will be back. The owners were there and so nice to us. ”

“ New Taco spot in Bishop Arts. It used to be a different taco spot last summer, but they have new owners. I ordered the chips and salsa, 3 tacos and watermelon Aqua Fresca. Everything is made fresh and to order. The chips come out from the fryer hot and seasoned and the salsa is packed with fresh flavor- it's not spicy. The pastor is juicy and they pack on the meat. I would've liked if it was chopped into smaller pieces. The fajita (Asada) was a little overcooked but I still enjoyed it with the toppings and salsa. ”

“ Excellent service! The tacos were amazing. I got a potato, egg & cheese & chorizo &egg taco. Very fresh! The tortillas where thin & tasty. Obviously handmade. They have instant coffee which does other me but bring your own if it does. I forgot to add I'm chair dancing to the music the whole time! ”
